Under the general supervision of the Director and Clinical Manager, the RN II is responsible for providing quality patient care using the nursing process, directing other nursing staff, and managing the assigned unit during their scheduled shift. This role involves comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, documentation, and direct bedside care, including medication administration and assisting physicians. The RN II also supervises and evaluates the care provided by other nursing personnel, prioritizes orders, and ensures continuity of care through communication with patients, families, and other departments. Additionally, the position requires checking emergency equipment and drugs, orienting new staff, and handling communication with external agencies. The employee is subject to call back and overtime as required by the hospital and must ensure proper disposal of hazardous pharmaceutical waste.
