About Us: Caring for children with rheumatic and inflammatory diseases, our physicians are skilled in diagnosis, treatment and long term monitoring of therapeutic effectiveness and coordination of care. Our team offers a multidisciplinary approach to patient care and collaborates closely with multiple practices, including nephrology, orthopedics, ophthalmology and physical medicine and rehabilitation. Our interprofessional team includes physicians, nurses, social workers, physical and occupational therapists, medical assistants and clinical research coordinators. The rheumatology department at Valley Children’s works closely with organizations including the Arthritis Foundation and the American College of Rheumatology. We also have a variety of programs for pediatric patients with chronic autoimmune conditions, including group yoga and team sports like cricket, to improve their physical activities and coping skills. Valley Children's dedicated team of board-certified and fellowship-trained pediatric rheumatologists works together with a multidisciplinary team to provide the most comprehensive care to infants, children and adolescents with rheumatic and inflammatory diseases. Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for providing competent nursing care. Responsible for coordination of the patient's plan of care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions that lead to established outcomes. This position practices under the direction of the designated nurse executive, within the scope of the Nursing Practice Act, and in accordance with Valley Children's Hospital policies.
