About The Position

The Nurse Resource Pool Full Time position at Arkansas Children's Hospital is a night shift role from 7 PM to 7 AM, offering a $10,000 sign-on bonus. The role involves providing a competent level of nursing practice to autonomously deliver safe and effective patient and family-centered care. The RN II Staffing Team is part of the nurse resource pool, allowing for work in multiple areas within the hospital. The position requires the ability to analyze, think critically, plan, prioritize, and organize care, make appropriate clinical judgments, and manage both routine and unexpected clinical situations.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing required.
• 1 year of nursing experience required.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arkansas or Compact State required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing recommended.
• Certification specific to patient population recommended.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a competent level of understanding and application of the AC Model of Patient and Family-Centered care.
• Consistently provides safe and effective nursing care at a competent level in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Competently assesses patients and provides developmentally appropriate and culturally sensitive care.
• Analyzes information to identify problems and outcomes, evaluates variations and patterns in patient/family data.
• Provides individualized patient and family education at competent levels.
• Advances evidence-based nursing practice using best available evidence.
• Exemplifies and supports the AC Professional Practice Model.
• Participates in interdisciplinary shared decision-making activities.
• Actively participates in the improvement of patient care and nursing practice.
• Accountable for the quality of patient care by initiating advocacy actions.
• Participates in councils, committees, taskforces, and hospital initiatives.
• Competently mentors, coaches, precepts, and teaches healthcare professionals and students.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
