About The Position

The RN II position at Arkansas Children's is a full-time role designated for the Acute Care Rehab Weekend Option, working from 7 PM to 7 AM. This position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus and requires the provision of safe and effective patient and family-centered care. The RN will utilize their knowledge, skills, and experience to analyze, think critically, plan, prioritize, and organize care, making appropriate clinical judgments and managing both routine and unexpected clinical situations.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college program or technical school or nursing diploma.
• 1 year of nursing experience.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license - Arkansas or Compact State.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Demonstrated performance of 100% at the previous level and score within documented RN II/III levels via ACHieve career ladder for internal employees.
• Certification specific to patient population.

Responsibilities

• Consistently provides safe and effective nursing care at a competent level in accordance with policies and procedures.

• Provides individualized patient and family education at competent levels.
• Advances evidence-based nursing practice using best available evidence.

• Participates in interdisciplinary shared decision-making activities.
• Actively participates in the improvement of patient care and nursing practice.
• Accountable for the quality of patient care by initiating advocacy actions.
• Participates in councils, committees, taskforces, and hospital initiatives.
• Competently mentors, coaches, and teaches healthcare professionals and students.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
