About The Position

This position is designated as safety sensitive and cannot be filled by a candidate who is a current user of medical marijuana. The role involves providing a competent level of nursing practice to autonomously deliver safe and effective patient and family-centered care for patients and families. The nurse will utilize their knowledge, skill, and experience to analyze, think critically, plan, prioritize, and organize care, make appropriate clinical judgments, and efficiently manage routine and unexpected clinical situations. The work shift is night shift, and the position is full-time, with a sign-on bonus of $10,000.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college program or technical school or nursing diploma.
  • 1 year of nursing experience.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license - Arkansas or Compact State.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Demonstrated performance of 100% at the previous level and score within documented RN II/III levels via ACHieve career ladder for internal employees.
  • Certification specific to patient population.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates a competent level of understanding and application of the AC Model of Patient and Family-Centered care.
  • Consistently provides safe and effective nursing care at a competent level.
  • Competently assess patients and provide developmentally appropriate and culturally sensitive care.
  • Analyzes information to identify problems and outcomes, evaluates variations and patterns in patient/family data.
  • Provides individualized patient and family education at competent levels.
  • Advances evidence-based nursing practice using best available evidence.
  • Exemplifies and supports the AC Professional Practice Model.
  • Participates in interdisciplinary shared decision making activities.
  • Actively participates in the improvement of patient care, nursing practice, and the work environment.
  • Accountable for the quality of patient care by initiating advocacy actions for patients and families.
  • Participates in councils, committees, taskforces, and hospital initiatives.
  • Competently mentors, coaches, and teaches healthcare professionals and students.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
