The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Carle BroMenn Medical Center is a professional caregiver responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients.   • Assume responsibility for a group of patients and provide care using the nursing process.
  • Perform initial assessments upon patient admission and develop appropriate care plans.
  • Implement nursing interventions and modify care plans based on continuous evaluation.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Report and correct safety hazards and incidents to ensure patient and employee safety.
  • Participate in professional development and continuing education regarding acute stroke care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the best patient outcomes.
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
  • Registered Professional Nurse (RN) License in Illinois upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA) within 30 days of hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA) within 1 year of hire.
  • 1-3 years of critical care experience, particularly in cardiology.
