As an ICU/CCU RN at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC), you’ll deliver vigilant, evidence-based critical care, collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team, and advocate for patient safety through every shift. Job Summary Provide professional nursing care using the full nursing process for patients in a critical care setting. Coordinate care planning with other disciplines while functioning under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

Requirements

  • Current Arkansas RN license.
  • BLS at hire; ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire.
  • TNCC and ENPC certifications (or commitment to obtain per department timeline).
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; professional communication with physicians, staff, patients, and families.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • 1–3 years of nursing experience (critical care strongly preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Perform frequent, systematic assessments (at least every two hours) and update care plans accordingly.
  • Communicate changes in condition to physicians; provide thorough handoff reports to oncoming nurses.
  • Maintain strict infection prevention practices; support a safe environment of care.
  • Recognize and respond to emergencies; interpret electrocardiography (EKG) and apply appropriate drug therapies and procedures used in the unit.
  • Administer, titrate, and document critical care infusions
  • Care for immediate post-anesthesia patients when assigned and follow PACU guidelines.
