Reporting to the Administrative Director, this position is responsible for planning, coordinating and providing high quality, individualized patient care using the components of the nursing process. The role involves demonstrating knowledge of age-specific care for adult and geriatric populations, including identifying the need for additional safety measures, physiological normal values/readings, assessing skin integrity, behavior, motor skills, and communicating effectively. The RN will provide direct patient care, evaluate outcomes, adjust nursing care interventions, administer medications per protocol/policy, assess patients' conditions, develop and update individual plans of care, monitor physiological and cognitive status of patients, timely report changes to physicians and/or other appropriate personnel, follow-up on lab/test results, document in a clear, complete, legible, organized and timely manner, maintain current competencies and skill levels, and participate in quality and performance improvement programs.
