About The Position

Overview Piedmont Henry Hospital Medical-Surgical ICU Unit Profile It’s Time to Get Better at Piedmont! Join us at Piedmont as we continue to grow! We are a 24 bed Medical/Surgical fast-paced, high acuity Intensive Care Unit staffed with Critical Care Intensivists/APPs 24/7. Also included in our staff mix are Registered nurses, Respiratory Therapists, and Patient Care technicians. Typical nurse to patient ratio is 1:2/ 1:3. 24 Beds Sepsis and Multi‐System Organ failure management Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) Targeted Temperature Management (TTM) for post cardiac arrest Advanced Invasive & Non‐Invasive Hemodynamic Monitoring o Arterial lines o Flotrac/EV 1000 o Central Venous Catheters EKOS Ultrasound Accelerated Thrombolysis Intra‐Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) Impella Titration of vasopressors Titration of continuous paralytics Use of BIS monitor /TOF monitor Management of Pacemakers Complex Respiratory Failure patients requiring advanced ventilatory support Post-Percutaneous Coronary Intervention Acute Stroke Care with Alteplase management Management of Shock to include cardiac, septic, hypovolemic. Management of neurosurgical patients including care of external ventricular devices Patients with ARDS requiring manual prone therapy The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.

Requirements

• Graduate from a nursing program Required
• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License. Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
• ACLS Certification - (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date) within 180 Days Required

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
• Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred
• CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate) preferred Preferred
