Where You’ll Work The ICU at CHI Health Good Samaritan is a 24 bed unit. We take care of any critical care patient and specialize in high acuity care. We strive to leverage technology and highly skilled nurses to allow our community and surrounding areas to receive health care close to home. Established by the Sisters of the St. Francis in 1924, CHI Health Good Samaritan is a 268-bed regional referral center in Kearney, Nebraska. At CHI Health Good Samaritan you’ll find an advanced level trauma center that also offers AirCare emergency helicopter transport and an ambulance program providing long distance and local 911 service. Among our many other services are cardiac care including open-heart surgery, a level II neonatal intensive care unit, a nationally accredited cancer center, comprehensive neurosurgery, advanced orthopedic program, and inpatient and outpatient mental health services at our free-standing Richard Young Behavioral Health facility. Job Summary and Responsibilities As a Critical Care Nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital , now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health, you’ll monitor patients who are critically ill and unstable following extensive injury, surgery, or life-threatening disease. You’ll clinically care for your patients, remain focused and attentive, and advocate for their best interests.
