About The Position

Trinity Health Livonia is a full-service, 304-bed acute care hospital in Livonia, MI, offering comprehensive care including a 24-hour emergency department, general medicine, inpatient and outpatient surgery, physical medicine and rehabilitation, intensive care unit, cancer, cardiology, geriatrics, and birthing and women's health. The hospital has received numerous awards for excellence in clinical outcomes, patient safety, financial performance, and efficiency. The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Level II Trauma Mixed Intensive Care Unit provides comprehensive, high-acuity care for critically ill adult patients within a 16-bed, Level II Trauma, mixed Medical/Trauma/Surgical ICU. This role involves managing patients requiring mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic support, circulatory assist devices, and complex multisystem interventions. Utilizing evidence-based practice and strong clinical judgment, the RN delivers safe, high-quality care in a fast-paced trauma-capable environment. The unit supports a diverse, high-acuity patient population and is recognized as an environment supportive and preparatory for future and aspiring CRNAs, offering exposure to advanced airway, hemodynamic, and critical care concepts. The Registered Nurse is accountable for the management of patient care during a designated timeframe, including coordination and evaluation of care, teaching, and delegation of patient activities to other health care team members via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, and the environment.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in Nursing required
  • Current RN licensure in the State of Michigan required
  • BLS required
  • Minimum two years' work experience as an RN in an ICU or Critical Care unit
  • Computer proficient
  • Excellent customer service skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred or must agree in writing to obtain a BSN within five years

Responsibilities
