About The Position

Medical City Lewisville is seeking a Seasonal PRN RN for the ICU department. This position offers a pay rate of $65 per hour plus differentials, with a program duration from September 21, 2025, to April 4, 2026. The RN will provide direct nursing care under general supervision, collaborating with patients, families, and healthcare teams to assess needs, plan interventions, and evaluate care outcomes. Responsibilities include supervising nursing staff, performing medical procedures, documenting care, and educating patients and families about health management. The RN will also manage evidence-based practices and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality care.

Requirements

• Current RN license in Texas or compact state.
• BSN degree.
• Minimum of one year recent nursing experience in an acute care setting.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 6 months of employment.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Assess nursing care needs of patients and plan interventions.
• Evaluate outcomes of care and document administration of care in patient medical records.
• Supervise nursing care provided by LVNs and non-licensed staff.
• Teach patients and families about medical conditions, treatment plans, and follow-up measures.
• Manage evidence-based practices and continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic patient treatment plans.
