About The Position

Medical City Decatur is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the ICU in a Seasonal PRN role. This position offers an hourly wage of $62 plus differentials, with the program running from September 21, 2025, to April 4, 2026. The RN will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with departmental requirements and nursing standards. The role involves collaboration with medical providers and care teams to provide individualized care, teaching patients and families about medical conditions and treatment plans, and managing evidence-based practices to enhance patient care.

Requirements

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 90 days of employment start date.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact license required.
• Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Preferred: 1+ year of experience in RN ICU.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Collaborate with medical providers and care teams.
• Document care administration in patient medical records.
• Teach patients and families about medical conditions and treatment plans.
• Manage evidence-based practices and continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to customize and deliver holistic patient treatment plans.
