About The Position

The RN ICU PRN Days position at Abrazo Arrowhead Campus involves providing professional nursing care within the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on a per diem basis. The role emphasizes individualized, age-specific bedside nursing care, coordination of care planning with other healthcare disciplines, and supervision of healthcare team members. The RN will be responsible for assessing, planning, and delegating patient care while ensuring safety and quality in nursing practices. Requirements

• Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing school.
• License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona.
• CPR Certification.
• ACLS Certification as applicable by Facility/Department.
• Minimum of two years of current Level III NICU experience including neonatal ventilator experience.
• Strongly preferred experience in CVICU or ICU or a minimum of 2 years in Cardiac Stepdown.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• 1 year of acute care experience (preferred).
• Certification in specialty area of practice (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care within the assigned unit.
• Coordinates care planning with other disciplines.
• Renders individualized, age-specific, and direct bedside nursing care based on patient needs.
• Acts as a supervisor by assessing, planning, delegating, and utilizing independent judgment in directing other healthcare employees for patient care.
• Systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice to identify patient goals.
• Participates in hourly rounding.
• Observes safety guidelines and safe work practices.
• May be asked to be in charge for a shift(s).
• Supervises other members of the healthcare team.
