About The Position

The RN I provides professional nursing care to patients. Provides direct patient care support to the highest degree of licensure. Partners with clinical staff and providers to ensure academic and clinical experience for medical students, residents, and other learners prepares them for success in post-education endeavors. Partners with CCHS enterprise services (including Health Informatics, Medical Billing, Medical Records and others) to ensure patient billing and documentation are complete, accurate, and follow all HIPPA and other regulatory requirements. Uniforms provided and licenses reimbursed. This position will float to provide support at multiple University Medical Center clinics.

Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) License in the State of Alabama in good standing.
Must have a current CPR certification
Must have used an electronic health record system in a previous learning or employed role.
Applicants with Associate's Degree of Nursing will be considered.
Final candidates must submit to and successfully pass a post-offer drug screen.
Efficient and accurate computer and data entry skills.
Excellent communication, public relations and customer service and telephone etiquette skills.
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment.
Desire to exemplify the core values and mission of the organization, always exercising utmost discretion, diplomacy, and tact in patient/staff interactions.
Willingness to learn and consistently deliver patient-centered, high-quality customer service.
Ability to maintain strict confidentially of protected health information and follow HIPAA regulations at all times.
