About The Position

This position provides basic professional nursing care that is safe and effective, focused on the patient and family. The role involves assessment, planning, evaluation, and implementation of patient care within the guidelines of nursing standards. The nurse will demonstrate a novice level of understanding and application of the AC Model of Patient and Family-Centered care, ensuring that care addresses the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of patients and families.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college program or technical school or nursing diploma from a nationally accredited nursing school program.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license - Arkansas or Compact State.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Certification specific to patient population.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a novice level of understanding and application of the AC Model of Patient and Family-Centered care.
• Consistently provides safe and effective nursing care at a novice level in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates basic knowledge and skills to assess patients and provide developmentally appropriate and culturally sensitive care.
• Uses patient information to identify basic patient/family needs and desired outcomes.
• Provides individualized patient and family education at novice levels.
• Implements evidence-based nursing practice using best available evidence.
• Recognizes and supports the AC Professional Practice Model.
• Participates in interdisciplinary shared decision making activities.
• Participates in the improvement of patient care and nursing practice.
• Accountable for the quality of patient care by advocating for patients and families.
• Participates in councils, committees, taskforces, and hospital initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
