As a House Supervisor (RN), you will serve as the senior nursing leader after hours, supporting our mission of Making Communities Healthier®. You will function as a clinical resource, provide hands-on support as needed, and maintain accountability for the overall quality of patient care across the facility during your shift. This role reports to the Senior or Chief Nursing Officer or Administrator on Call. How you’ll contribute A House Supervisor who excels in this role will: Provide after-hours hospital leadership and serve as the primary clinical resource for staff. Assist in direct patient care as needed and maintain accountability for overall quality of patient care throughout the facility. Oversee patient flow, bed placement, and staffing needs to maintain safe and effective operations. Manage escalations, safety concerns, and service-level issues to promote positive patient and staff experiences. Serve as the primary point of contact for administrators, physicians, and departments when leadership is not onsite. Ensure compliance with clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements. Access and review protected health information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. Provide mentorship, staff orientation support, and training assistance. Exposure & Physical Requirements Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present, including contact with blood, body fluids, non-intact skin, and patient specimens. Frequent computer use and repetitive hand/arm movements. Occasional standing, walking, sitting, and light patient handling.
