Requirements

  • Bachelors of Nursing degree required from National League for Nursing, Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education accredited school of nursing, or three years related professional nursing experience.
  • Three (3) years as an RN with related acute care experience and decision making.
  • Current RN license with the Health Professions Bureau in Indiana.
  • ACLS required.
  • Understand the work of the departments.
  • Demonstrated team building skills with accountability to those teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to effect change by assuming leadership roles in interdisciplinary teams and supporting the growth and development of team members.
  • Understand the relationship of individual patients, units, and/or departments to facilitate achievement of optimal goals within those relationships.
  • Knowledge of healthcare policies, governmental regulations, and reimbursement practices to department.
  • Strong organizational skills in order to manage multiple issues simultaneously combined with ability to effectively prioritize.
  • Critical thinking skills with problem solving skills.
  • Act decisively and take appropriate action.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in relevant specialty or nursing administration preferred.
