About The Position

The Brook – Dupont, located in Louisville, KY, is an 88-bed hospital offering a full continuum of inpatient, extended care, partial hospitalization and outpatient services for children and adults. The House Supervisor under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer is responsible for administrative and clinical supervision of nursing staff. Has administrative responsibility for nursing and non-nursing staff assigned to evenings and weekends, as assigned by the Nurse Executive and Administration.

Requirements

• Current KY RN license in good standing
• Experience in a psych nursing setting preferred
• Supervisory experience preferred
• BSN degree preferred
• Current CPR
• Must be available to attend the full hospital and departmental orientations

Responsibilities

• Supervises, coordinates, and evaluates activities of nursing personnel to provide quality nursing care
• Responds to others on the unit in a helpful manner, especially in times of increased patient activity or short staffing situations
• Assists staff to integrate new procedures into their nursing practice
• Identify learning needs of staff and communicate those to Nurse Managers
