About The Position

McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center is your community medical provider, serving the Willamette Valley and its residents. Our 113-bed hospital offers inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic, medical, surgical and emergency care. We are a family of caregivers offering care to our larger family — our community. The RN - House Supervisor position involves coordination and participation in patient care activities on a nursing unit, or house-wide, during a specific shift; participation in Nursing Administration operations as a member of the management team. This role offers instruction, support and care to patients, families, and/or significant others who are experiencing disease processes and treatments. The RN assesses care and serves as a resource and support for hospital clients and staff. The position also provides appropriate direct instruction and orientation for nursing staff, and is responsible for house-wide supervision of patient care during an 8-or 12-hour shift to ensure healthcare is delivered in a caring, safe, expedient and efficient manner. The RN serves as a liaison between nursing management, staffing and unit patient care coordinators.

Requirements

  • Nursing school graduate.
  • Licensed as Registered Nurse in the State of Oregon.
  • Current BLS and ACLS required.
  • Three to five years pertinent clinical/management experience.
  • Clinical excellence and leadership abilities.
  • Teaching competency and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
