About The Position
-Unit Size – 14 beds in ICU and 14 beds in PCCU -Typically patient ratios – 2 - 3 -Types of patients you see – respiratory, ventilator patients, post surgical, cardiac, (do not see open heart) -for Tele does the department have EKG or Monitor tech’s? NO, do our own (nurses read their own strips) -Does the department use any CNA’s, LVN’s or any additional auxiliary help We use Care Techs (1 on night shift & 2 on day shift) One question I always ask the directors and manager I work with directly: What makes you department a great place to work! (teamwork)
