About The Position

The RN - Hospice Utilization Review Nurse at Mercy Hospital Jefferson is responsible for managing utilization review processes for the inpatient care management population. Requirements

• 2-3 years of acute care experience in a hospital setting required.
• Hospice experience required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license in the state of Missouri.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Care Management or Utilization Review experience preferred.
• Certifications in Case Management or Utilization Review preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct utilization management for assigned inpatient care management population.
• Facilitate effective processes within the Mercy Care Management model.
• Support quality patient care and safety initiatives.
• Promote integration of a seamless care model.
• Assist with patient throughput and coordination of care.
