About The Position

This is a full-time night position serving our Middletown Hospice House, but will float to the Dayton Hospice House when needed. FT 3 12hr shifts per week, 7:00p-7:30a, with an every third weekend rotation and every other holiday rotation. We provide superior care and superior service to patients at their end of life journey. Only those who have a heart for hospice will succeed.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Ohio without any board actions.
• Two years acute care nursing experience preferred.
• CPR Certified.
• Certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine (CHPN) preferred; required within two years of employment.
• Computer skills sufficient to properly document services and care.
• Ability to drive during daytime, nighttime or inclement weather.
• Valid Driver's License with Safe Driving Record.
• State Minimum Automobile Insurance Coverage.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine (CHPN) preferred.
• Experience in hospice/palliative care.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, interventions, implementation, and evaluation.
• Effectively interact with patients, families, and other interdisciplinary team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
