About The Position

This is a part time night shift position at our Hospice of Dayton IPU but could float to our Troy and Middletown IPU as needed. 2-12hr shifts per week, hours are 7:00pm-7:30am with every 3rd weekend/holiday rotation. We provide superior care and superior service to patients at their end of life journey. Only those who have a heart for hospice will succeed.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Ohio without any board actions.
• Two years acute care nursing experience preferred.
• CPR Certified.
• Certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine (CHPN) preferred; required within two years of employment.
• Computer skills sufficient to properly document services and care.
• Ability to drive during daytime, nighttime or inclement weather.
• Valid Driver's License with Safe Driving Record.
• State Minimum Automobile Insurance Coverage.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine (CHPN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, interventions, implementation, and evaluation.
• Effectively interact with patients, families, and other interdisciplinary team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
