Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
  • Active Registered Nurse license through the Washington State Department of Health
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers (AHA) or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer (American Red Cross)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Nice To Haves

  • BSN
  • 1+ years of experience working as a Registered Nurse
  • 1+ years of experience in telemetry or cardiac care
  • 1+ years of experience in nephrology or dialysis

Responsibilities

  • Documents patient information in the electronic health record (EPIC) following standard work guidelines
  • Assesses and triages patient care needs. Suggests solutions to patient care problems & complaints
  • Identifies & recommends solutions to departmental problems
  • Assists in assessing departmental function and productivity & recommends changes as necessary
  • Assesses patient/family learning needs and coordinates and carries out teaching plan
  • Coordinates care for Heart Failure and general cardiology patients including telephone triage, advising and consultation with patients, nurse managed care coordination, patient/family education, and in office cardiovascular procedures
  • Coordinates care across the continuum for specialty services internally and externally to manage heart failure complex care
  • Manages care coordination with cardiomems patients and vendor representatives
  • Demonstrates ability to carry out skills as outlined in nursing procedures for clinical areas worked including administration of prescribed medications & treatments in accordance with nursing standards and clinic policy
  • Promotes positive, constructive approach to problem solving
