About The Position

The RN Dialysis position at Adventist Health involves delivering high-quality dialysis care to patients experiencing acute or chronic kidney failure. This is a per diem position with a 12-hour shift schedule, including on-call responsibilities during after hours, holidays, and weekends.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification: Required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
• Master's Degree in Nursing, Clinical Nurse Specialist or Nurse Practitioner: Preferred
• Experience in acute care nursing: Preferred
• Experience in Acute Care Dialysis: Preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver dialysis care for patients experiencing acute or chronic kidney failure according to established standards of care.
• Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff.
• Coordinate dialysis care utilizing critical thinking and professional discretion.
• Manage and troubleshoot dialysis machines and equipment.
• Stock and supply hemodialysis carts and supply rooms.
• Act as a clinical resource to staff by providing in-services and validating dialysis-related competencies.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to provide safe and humane patient care.
• Provide learning opportunities for patients and team members.
• Directly provide health information to patients, families, and treatment teams.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
