About The Position

The RN GI Services Center position at National Park Medical Center involves providing comprehensive nursing care to hospitalized patients, focusing on both physiological and psychological aspects. Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited college with a valid RN license in Arkansas.
• BLS and ACLS certified upon hire or within 6 months.
• Minimum of three years of nursing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of preoperative and post-operative assessment and management of adult and geriatric patients.
• Ability to sit and stand for long periods and work variable hours.

Nice To Haves

• Previous hospital experience in medical, surgical, orthopedic, oncology, or renal nursing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Guide patient teaching and activities of ancillary personnel.
• Act as a preceptor for new employees on the nursing unit.
• Interpret physicians' orders and dispense medications and intravenous solutions.
• Audit charts and gather information for performance improvement programs.
• Provide daily assignments and make rounds with physicians.
