The Registered Nurse (RN) position in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at The George Washington University Hospital is a full-time role focused on providing high-quality and compassionate healthcare to neonates. The RN will be part of a multidisciplinary care team dedicated to improving patient outcomes through advanced medical technology and clinical expertise. This role requires effective communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a challenging and rewarding work environment.

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to neonates in the NICU.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to improve patient outcomes.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adapt to multiple priorities.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training related to neonatal care.
  • Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
  • Current state nursing license.
  • ACLS, NRP certification (or obtained within three months of employment).
  • BLS certification.
  • Prefer one year full-time or three years part-time experience in an acute care setting.
  • Fetal Monitoring and Training Basic Dysrhythmia Class.
  • Experience in a NICU setting.
  • Advanced communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
