RN Float Pool PRN Nights
About The Position
This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Baptist Health Floyd Internal Agency Nursing Pool, working as needed (PRN) during night shifts (7pm-7am). The Internal Float Pool Nurse is responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for patients from admission to discharge. This role requires the ability to provide an intermediate level of care to patients across various inpatient units based on staffing needs. The Internal Float Pool comprises seasoned, experienced nurses capable of working on any inpatient unit requiring additional staffing. The Float Pool reports to a specific Supervisor for guidance, and House Managers allocate staff to areas of greatest need within the hospital.
Requirements
- Current Indiana or compact state RN license
- BLS for Healthcare provider required upon hire
- ACLS for Healthcare provider required upon hire
- NIHSS certification required upon hire
- PALS for Healthcare provider required (obtained within 1 year of hire)
- Minimum of two (2) years previous nursing experience required
- Minimum of two years recent acute care nursing experience in the hospital setting
- PCU and Neuro competent
Nice To Haves
- Critical Care and Emergency Department experience is welcomed
- Previous experience in intermediate level of care preferred
