About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Grapevine has provided personalized, compassionate, and loving care to more than 20 communities in the Dallas Fort Worth region for nearly 70 years. It is a Magnet® Recognized Facility, a 302-bed hospital offering advanced medical services for heart and vascular, women’s health, diagnostic imaging, trauma, orthopedics, spine, digestive diseases, oncology, neurology, ENT, pain management, weight loss, and intensive and emergency care. The facility has a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and is the only Level II Trauma Center in Northeast Tarrant County. It is also an accredited Cycle IV Chest Pain Center, Primary Stroke Center, and accredited in weight loss surgery and oncology. As an RN Float, you are vital in healthcare, coordinating patient care based on the nursing model. You assess patients, plan personalized care, and evaluate responses to health issues. You keep patients safe by understanding their needs and the healthcare setting for smoother transitions. You delegate interventions to team members based on guidelines, patient condition, and team abilities. Your professionalism and experience help you make important recommendations that impact patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • 2 years Nursing experience.
  • Graduated from an accredited program in nursing or have two years of relevant work experience.
  • The main area of study in your education should be nursing.
  • (2) Two years of experience in nursing is required.
  • Registered nurse.
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification or get it within 30 days of starting.
  • Thorough knowledge of nursing and patient care standards and procedures.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, rules, and regulations, including those for nursing care certifications and accreditations.
  • Familiarity with concepts such as health promotion, risk reduction, illness and disease prevention, and management.
  • Effective communication skills, both spoken and written.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good grasp of general computer skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Acute care setting and/or ICU Nursing experience.
