RN Float Pool II Acute Care
About The Position
The licensed registered nurse is a professional nurse who is responsible and accountable for providing evidence-based clinical care to designated patients utilizing the nursing process. This is accomplished by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care per established ethical/cultural codes and standards of nursing practices and working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to achieve patient outcomes. The float pool registered nurse is responsible to delegate tasks appropriately to other licensed and unlicensed health care team members. The RN will be scheduled to work in the following tracks: Acute Care - Any adult acute care unit, telemetry or transitional care unit at the Edgewood, Grant County, Covington, Florence & Ft. Thomas, and Dearborn facilities. Any adult acute care or transitional care patient assignments boarding in other areas (ED, PACU, ICU). Float Pool Commitment Levels Level 1 - Any Shift/96 hours/6 weeks (16 hrs./week) 24 hours of the 96 hours must be weekend hours Level 2 - All Nights/96 hours/6 weeks (16 hrs./week) 24 hours of the 96 hours must be weekend hours Level 3 - Any Shift/144 hours/6 weeks (24 hrs./week) 48 hours of the 144 hours must be weekend hours Level 4 - All Nights/144 hours/6 weeks (24 hrs./week) 48 hours of the 144 hours must be weekend hours Level 5 - Any Shift/216 hours/6 weeks (36 hrs./week) 48 hours of the 216 hours must be weekend hours Level 6 - All Nights/216 hours/6 weeks (36 hrs./week) 48 hours of the 216 hours must be weekend hours The best nursing career is right here. Requirements
- Graduate from accredited School of Nursing, holds a BSN, and licensed to practice in the state of Kentucky and Indiana, or state license letter of eligibility.
- Meets contact hour requirements for licensure, including all state-required courses.â¯Focus of education promotes nurses' ability to practice in clinical area assigned.
- Demonstrates knowledge of nursing theory, clinical practice standards, procedures, policies and competence in mathematical calculations associated with medication administration.
- Competent to independently perform safe nursing skills and procedures.
- Able to critically think and problem solve in routine and emergency situations.
- Candidates shall have appropriately demonstrated and documented competencies for the assigned clinical area.
- 18-month minimum clinical RN nursing experience.
- Successful completion of preceptorship and orientation to the facility and clinical area.
