The RN First Assistant assumes responsibility for the management and delivery of patient care utilizing the nursing process. Assists, under the direction of the primary operating surgeon, in the perioperative care of the patient undergoing a surgical procedure, to include specific functions within policies and guidelines established by the facility in conjunction with national standards. This position requires population specific competency emergency call and floating to other Operating Room specialty areas.
