Home Infusion Nurses provide comprehensive care to home infusion patients in an outpatient, community setting, including, but not limited to, the administration of antibiotics, immunotherapies, TPN, biologics, various specialty medications and supportive care therapies. The RN will be required to travel to the patient's home (or agreed upon setting) and provide infusion therapy. The nurse is responsible to appropriately document patient care activities within OHSU EHR and utilize medical technology to coordinate care, utilizing the primary nurse model and ensure the patient and family are receiving OHSU's highest quality of nursing care. This nurse should be available to work Monday through Friday and is expected to be part of the On-Call rotation -which includes overnight, holidays, and weekend coverages. The nurse in this position will provide comprehensive care to home infusion patients in an outpatient setting, including, but not limited to, the administration of antibiotics, immunologics, TPN, chemotherapy, and supportive care. The RN will be required to travel to the patient's home and provide infusion therapy for patients. The nurse will be assigned to coordinate care and ensure the patient and family are receiving OHSU's highest quality of nursing care. This nurse should be available to work Monday through Friday and is expected to be part of the On-Call rotation. Work assignment includes variable geography (OR/WA) to include two alternate sites of care. Laptop, phone, vital sign equipment and organizational equipment provided for home infusion use only -to be returned upon departure from work department or extended leave. FTE RNs to assume a mandatory On Call component; some distance FTEs may be exempt related to distance/potential response times.
