On our team, you will provide stellar care at one of the top healthcare organizations in the nation. Caregivers in the Family Birth Place/LDRP unit care for mothers and their newborns by managing labor, vaginal delivery, recovery, postpartum and well newborn care. As an RN, you will deliver exceptional care throughout the patient care journey. In this role, you will interact directly with patients and their families, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and provide healthcare education as needed. This is a regular PRN position, with caregivers working varying shifts between 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. with weekend requirements.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN program)
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • External applicants: two years of recent related nursing experience
  • Internal applicants: less than two years of experience, but post orientation/90-day probationary period considered with the Chief Nursing Officer approval for internal applicants
  • Will consider licensed military RN experience

  • Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans.
  • Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
  • Maintain professional growth and development through ongoing formal and informal education and clinical nursing study.
