About The Position
Under the direct supervision the incumbent is responsible for the delivery of care of the newborn and obstetrical patients through the deployment of the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The incumbent directs and guides patient teaching activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining standards for professional nursing. The position reports to the Director Perinatal/Quality
Requirements
- Labor and Delivery experience required.
- 1 year recent hospital experience
- AA degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing
- Current California Registered Nurse license
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
- Ability to function within the limits of State Nurse Practice Act.
- Conscious Sedation competency Training
Nice To Haves
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course by AWHONN or NCC certification within 6 months of hire
