About The Position

Position Details : Registered Nurse, Full-time, 36-40 hrs./week, Rover, 12-hour shifts, rotating schedule, shifts vary, working both in the Emergency Room and MedSurg. Shared call (low census call, certification call, mandatory call as schedule needs). Non-Exempt, Hourly, Union Benefited position Position Summary : A registered professional nurse who is responsible for utilization of the nursing process which consists of assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care for a patient or group of patients and is responsible for the provision of clinical leadership for other staff.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
Current RN license from the Oregon State Board of Nursing required.
Current BLS required.
ACLS, NRP, ENPC and TNCC certification as soon as available after hire.
Acute and Post Partum unit check off required after hire.
At least one (1) year of acute clinical experience preferred.
Demonstrates excellence in emergency nursing skills and patient care.
Responsible to understand and capable of implementing duties with the scope of rules and regulations of the Oregon State Board of Nursing and the Nurse Practice Act.
Provide leadership within complex and rapidly changing clinical environment.
Function calmly and effectively in emergent situations peak work times.
Demonstrate positive and compassionate attitude toward patients and their families.
Prioritize patient care and unit needs appropriately.
Functions as a positive team member with other hospital staff and physicians.
Recognize and differentiate normal and abnormal patient assessments and conditions.
Provide effective education for patients, nursing staff members and students.
Maintain patient confidentially.
Maintain open and effective communication with co-workers, physicians and management staff.
