About The Position

Join Baylor Scott and White Medical Center - Irving as a Registered Nurse and be part of something better! The Emergency Department serves a patient population of all ages, acuities, and stages of life. Responsibilities include direct patient care and documentation for patients presenting to the ED with a variety of complaints, triage, and managing sections with higher acuity as well as Express care/fast track with lower acuity/clinic type patients. Staff rotate to various areas based on experience and training. The patient ratio is 4:1, and the department has 55 beds. Currently, the department is seeking Lever three Trauma designation, is a Primary Stroke Center, and a Primary Chest Pain Center. The department has a wonderful EMS partnership, Radiology with CT and Sono within the ED, and offers self-scheduling with voluntary on-call. Certified Emergency Nurse fees are paid, and there are ongoing Evidence Based Practice and Process Improvement projects, along with trauma training.

Requirements

• Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• 2 years of experience in nursing.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in ENPC and TNCC.
