Department: Heart Electrophysiology (EP) Lab Location: Trinity Health Ann Arbor About the Department Heart Catheterization and Electrophysiology (EP) Lab Our state-of-the-art Heart Catheterization (Cath) and Electrophysiology (EP) Lab is dedicated to providing comprehensive cardiovascular care. We operate five advanced labs, including two dedicated EP labs, two Cath labs, and one versatile swing lab that can accommodate both types of procedures. Hybrid OR Capabilities: Our facilities include a cutting-edge Hybrid Operating Room (OR) that allows for seamless integration of both Cath and EP procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and procedural efficiency. Our hybrid cases focus on Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), Watchman device implantation, Mitral Valve Repair (MVR), and device explants. Case Volume: Electrophysiology (EP) Cases: We perform approximately 9-12 EP cases daily, specializing in a wide range of procedures including atrial fibrillation (A-fib) ablations, complex arrhythmia management, pacemaker and defibrillator implantations, cardiac resynchronization therapy, and cardiac contractility modulation (CCM) therapy. Our team of highly skilled cardiologists, electrophysiologists, nurses, and technologists work collaboratively to deliver exceptional care, utilizing the latest technology and techniques to achieve the best possible outcomes for our patients.
