About The Position

Provides professional nursing care for office patients following established standards and procedures.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Possesses a current Alabama State Registered Nurses License.
• Current CPR certification.
• Two (2) years of professional nursing preferably in an electrophysiology setting.
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice to give and evaluate patient care.
• Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions.
• Skill in writing and maintaining records and reports.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, families, physicians, supervisors and staff.
• Skill in pacemaker and ICD interrogations, testing and programming: and knowledge of EP procedures.
• Skill in decision making related to the programming of implanted devices.
• Skill in teaching patients about implanted devices and EP procedures.
• Ability to communicate clearly.
• Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions in order to maintain a safe working environment.
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Knowledge of organization’s policies and procedures.
• Upholds effective work habits including, but not limited to, regular attendance, teamwork, initiative, dependability, and promptness.
