About The Position

In our PRN Float Pool position role you will be supporting our Cleveland Clinic Nursing Institute, supporting 9 different hospitals, including Euclid, Main Campus, Hillcrest, South Pointe, Marymount, Medina, Avon, Fairview and/or Lutheran. The ideal candidate is someone who can work independently, is comfortable traveling to a new place and working with different people every day, and is flexible enough to work variable shifts and at different hospitals (only one hospital per shift). This unique position offers a competitive hourly rate similar to an agency, as well as shift differential. You will be able to set up your own schedule and work when you want. Requirements

  • Completion of a recognized course of study from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Minimum two years recent experience in Critical Care.
  • Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 3 years of hire date.

Responsibilities

  • Provides patient care through the application of sound Nursing Practice procedures and practices.
  • Performs accurate and complete admission assessments within defined time frames.
  • Assesses and documents patient's pain levels utilizing appropriate protocols.
  • Prioritizes and documents patient problems based on assessed needs/problems in collaboration with the patient, family, and health care team.
  • Establishes and implements plan of care in collaboration with other disciplines that promotes wellness and facilitates the discharge process.
  • Monitors and documents patient's condition and effectiveness and timeliness of care and/or interventions.
  • Evaluates, updates and revises plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
