About The Position
The Concord Endoscopy Center RN uses established Society of Gastrointestinal Nurses and Associates (SGNA) standards, practices and guidelines as a reference to prepare patients for procedures, administer light to moderate sedation under the direction of the gastroenterologist and provides post procedure care for same-day patients over 14 years of age. He/she is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care for a group of population specific patients for the Concord Endoscopy Center, from simple to complex, with multi-system issues in a safe and therapeutic environment. The RN uses knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, assesses data reflective of the patient's status and interprets information needed to identify each patients requirements relative to his/her age specific needs. Reports to the Director and/or Nurse Manager.
