Join Our Dedicated Endoscopy RN Team at M Health Fairview - Southdale Hospital (Edina, MN) M Health Fairview is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse - Endoscopy to join our team at Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN. About this Unit: Have you ever wondered what it would be like to work in the Endo Unit? If so, this might just be the job for you! Our Endoscopy department serves a diverse population of both inpatient and outpatients, providing Colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, EUS, Bronchoscopy and Minor Surgical procedures. Working as a team with the physician and Endoscopy technician we perform diagnostic and therapeutic exams for patients in our department, the OR, ICU, ED and Surgery. Endoscopy is a fast-paced, complex environment offering advanced learning opportunities for the right candidate while partnering with an experienced multidisciplinary team. Schedule: This position is 64 hours per two weeks on the day shift, 8 hour shifts with weekends as needed. Off premise call is required to cover evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.

Requirements

  • MN Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
  • ACLS
  • 2-5 years of current RN Endoscopy procedure experience.

  • Critical Care Experience

Responsibilities

  • Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes.
  • Collaborates with patient, family and other health team members to develop a nursing plan as part of an integrated, comprehensive plan of care
  • Develops an individualized plan based on age, social and cultural considerations, condition and other relevant needs.
  • Evaluates care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes.
  • Collaborates and communicates effectively and respectfully with the patient, family and members of the health care team within and across care settings to promote partnership-based health care
  • Demonstrates the ability to advance care by utilizing standards, guidelines, care pathways and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Promotes a culture of evidence based practice (EBP)
