About The Position

Emergency Services Liaison MercyOne – Des Moines, IA MercyOne is seeking an Emergency Services Liaison to support trauma care excellence through injury prevention programming, EMS outreach, and trauma education. This role serves as the primary connection between MercyOne and regional EMS partners while also supporting clinical trauma care and performance improvement activities. What You’ll Do Develop and deliver injury prevention and trauma education programs. Coordinate ATLS, TNCC, RTTDC, monthly trauma conferences, and the annual trauma conference. Serve as the main liaison to EMS agencies, referring hospitals, and physicians. Provide clinical support during trauma resuscitations as needed. Use trauma registry data to identify at-risk populations and guide program planning. Participate in research, performance improvement, and trauma center verification activities. Support communication, education, and feedback efforts with EMS partners. Engage with emergency response agencies and community networks. Qualifications Current Iowa RN license. BSN required; Master’s preferred. Minimum 2 years trauma experience. TNCC provider required; instructor/coordinator within 1 year. AHA BLS required. Leadership experience preferred. Mandatory Reporter training (within 3 months). Strong collaboration, communication, and relationship‑building skills. Requirements

  • Current Iowa RN license.
  • BSN required
  • Minimum 2 years trauma experience.
  • TNCC provider required; instructor/coordinator within 1 year.
  • AHA BLS required.
  • Mandatory Reporter training (within 3 months).
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
