About The Position

Join our dynamic Emergency Department Team as a day shift RN at Memorial Community Hospital! Memorial Community Hospital & Health System (MCH) in Blair, NE, is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. As an Emergency Department RN, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care, working closely with a dedicated team of providers and healthcare professionals at our Critical Access Hospital. You’ll be at the forefront of critical care, ensuring patients receive timely, expert treatment. Every shift is different—every life you touch makes a difference. What You’ll Do: Shift Details: Three 12-hour shifts 6:00a-6:30p, 36 hours per week. Evaluate patients at triage and assess actual or potential health issues. Administer medications, treatments, and prescribed regimens via various routes (e.g., IV, IM, oral). Provide age-appropriate care for patients ranging from neonates to the elderly. Communicate effectively with providers and interdisciplinary teams regarding patient needs. Educate patients and their families about care plans and health management. Participate in problem-solving, performance improvement initiatives, and patient satisfaction projects. Ensure compliance with EMTALA requirements and hospital safety standards.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
  • Active RN license in Nebraska or Iowa.
  • Current BLS & ACLS (Required).
  • PALS (Within 60 days of hire).
  • TNCC or ATCN (Within one year of hire).
  • Minimum of one year in acute care; emergency room experience highly preferred.
  • Critical thinking, rapid decision-making, cardiac monitoring, IV/central line management, and life-sustaining interventions.
