About The Position

The OB Surgical Technologist position at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas is a full-time role focused on providing technical support and patient care for obstetric patients. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Surgical Technologist Program per the National Board of Surgical Technology.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Ability to understand English both written and spoken.
• Experience as a surgical technologist, from new graduates to experienced professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for patient care in the OB department.
• Assist in surgical procedures as a Surgical Technologist.
• Prepare Operating/Delivery Rooms and patients for labor and delivery procedures.
• Maintain and clean sterile instrumentation according to hospital policy.
• Support nursing staff and patients with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Perform operational support tasks including patient registration and charge capture.
• Maintain calm and efficiency during obstetrical emergencies.
• Adhere to safety and infection control practices.
