About The Position

RN - Emergency Dept, Full Time Evenings, Sign on Bonus Available. Schedule is 1pm-1 am at Piedmont Eastside Medical Center- Emergency Dept. We are looking for positive, self-motivated, engaged and excited for growth individuals to join our team in a 38 bed Emergency Department that sees on average 160 patients a day that present with various acuities. We are a primary Stroke and Stemi receiving facility that is able to intervene and administer thrombolytics. Two helicopter pads on campus for utilization. We have 5 PODs in our department, depending on acuity, is where the patient will be assigned. Behavioral Health Pod. We have Charge nurses, ED Flow Coordinators, Paramedics, ED Techs, PCTs, Mental Health Technicians and Unit Secretaries who work in close collaboration with the ED Providers to provide exceptional care. All staff members must have a BLS to work in this unit.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a nursing program.
  • Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
  • BLS certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable.
  • One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting is required for PRN positions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients.
  • Function within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrate professional growth and accountability.
  • Maintain standards of practice and coordinate patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.
