About The Position
Butterworth Emergency Department is a very fast paced environment as a Level 1 Trauma Center. We are focused on providing a strong team based approach to providing excellent care to all patients! Among our 100 patient care spaces, we treat patients with minor illnesses and injuries as well as more serious chronic and acute health concerns. We are one of the busiest ERs in the Nation with approximately 109,000 patient visits annually. Through a commitment to improving our processes, we have outperformed state and national metrics for patient throughput and are in the top 10% of hospitals for this metric. Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA. This includes ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization and environmental health. Strives to achieve optimal outcomes.
