South Pointe Hospital’s Emergency Department has 22 beds and provides 24/7 emergency services, ranging from minor injuries to critical and resuscitative care, to more than 35,000 patients of all ages each year. Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
One year of current acute care RN experience and/or Emergency Department experience.
Will consider military RN experience
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) upon or within one year of hire

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care.
Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
Educate patients and their families.
