In this role at Banner Payson, you will have the opportunity to care for a variety of patients in our Emergency Department. The high level of coordination between doctors, nurses, patient care assistants and other departments fosters a strong collaborative environment where our patients receive compassionate, highly personalized care. Prior experience as a Emergency Department RN highly preferred. This is a 36 hour position working 9 am - 9:30pm. Every other weekend on rotation. A full-service health care facility, the 25 bed hospital offers extensive services including cardiopulmonary/respiratory, emergency, intensive care, imaging, labor and delivery, laboratory, surgery and rehabilitation. Banner Payson Medical Center also offers an array of outpatient services and specialty clinics including OB/GYN, urology and podiatry surgery, general and orthopedic surgery, family medicine, outpatient imaging, bone densitometry, diagnostic x-rays, ultrasound, mammography, nuclear medicine, nuclear cardiac stress testing, CT scans, MRI, pulmonary function testing, EEG, infusion center, rehabilitation therapies, plus sleep studies and pain management. POSITION SUMMARY This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
