About The Position

Overview Piedmont Henry Hospital Emergency Services Unit Profile Piedmont Henry Emergency Department 75000-90000 visits per year Licensed for 59 beds 3/4:1 Patient to RN Ratio Level III trauma center Triage and Assessment of patient complaint Medical screening exam by a qualified medical provider and treatment plan based on assessment Appropriate Drug Therapy Management of critically ill patients Patient discharge education Fully Accredited Stroke Center Recently added 18 bed Cardiac Observation Unit that works closely with ED Multidisciplinary team in the ED includes: ED MD, ED APP, ED RN, C-RN, Flow Coordinator, Unit Based Educator, RN, ED Paramedics, Patient Care Technicians, Radiology staff, Respiratory staff, Patient Experience and Patient Access. Responsibilities The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.

Requirements

• Graduate from a nursing program Required
• Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License. Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
• ACLS and PALS Certification - (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date)Experienced Emergency Department nurses will have 6 months to obtain the PALS certification. within 180 Days Required

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
• Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred
• CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate) preferred Preferred
